SBJ is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Summer Intern to join our editorial and content creation team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative media environment. As a summer intern, you will work closely with our seasoned editors and writers, contributing to the creation of compelling content for our diverse audience.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in researching, writing, and editing articles on a wide range of topics including technology, science, culture, and innovation.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and pitch ideas for articles, features, and multimedia content.
• Conduct interviews with industry experts, thought leaders, and newsmakers.
• Support the production of multimedia content, including podcasts, videos, and interactive features.
• Help manage and curate content for SBJ’s social media platforms.
• Assist with fact-checking and proofreading to ensure the accuracy and quality of content.
• Collaborate with various departments, including design, multimedia, and marketing, to enhance content presentation and reach.
Qualifications:
• Passion for startups and tech.
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with multimedia content creation (podcasting, video editing, etc.) is a plus.
