After winning the Serum Hackathon, the multisig wallet finds itself a place at the world-leading incubator.

An Opening Into the Big Leagues

Cashmere, a multisignature wallet based on Solana, keeps impressing as it now obtains a spot in the prestigious Y Combinator Winter 2022 Batch.

The announcement was made on March 15 via Twitter, a month after the crypto wallet sparked interest at mtnDAO, where they joined Solana News and outlined their Convergence Hackathon submission, which ended up winning one of the main prizes in the competition.

Rebecca Lee, Co-Founder and CPO at Cashmere Wallet, visited Solana News a second time in March in a Panel with the Serum Hackathon Winners and shared some insights on the overall experience of building on Solana:

“For people who are very young and green in this space and maybe intimidated by working on a new chain or in crypto in general, Solana, for one, is obviously much cheaper than ETH, making it a huge inhibitor trying to develop there instead. But also, the community is incredible. We have hit points where we were completely blocked, and we found help in Discord channels, where people helped us get past certain things.”

Now, apart from continuing leveraging the vibrant community on Solana, Cashmere will get access to the top entrepreneurial minds in the world to boost the project´s aspirations even further. Y Combinator is an industry-leading startup incubator that launched over 3,000 companies, including many unicorns like Stripe, Airbnb, Coinbase, Dropbox, Twitch, and Reddit. ‍

What is Cashmere Wallet?

Cashmere is a multi-signature and non-custodial crypto wallet for startups, DAOs, partners, NFT artists, and friends. It allows a party of users to manage their digital assets on Solana securely. So instead of running a business from one person’s wallet, startups can use Cashmere to collaboratively manage their funds.
